Tammy is a native of Charlottesville and an honors graduate of the University of Virginia (Humanities), where her interdisciplinary coursework focused on creative writing, religious studies, cultural anthropology, and women’s studies. She is mother to three adult children, two young stepchildren, and grandmother to seven.
A former administrative professional and web developer, she sustained an overuse injury to her neck and shoulder from desk work and found bodywork to be helpful in her recovery. During that process, she decided she would rather engineer healthier bodies than websites! She became a Massage Therapist soon after.
Tammy’s passion has always been to help people feel better through relief of pain, relief of stress and anxiety, and facilitating a balanced mind and body. She is continually refreshing her skills in various bodywork modalities and brings hundreds of hours of training and experience to the table.
